Im Oktober will das "Health Consumer Powerhouse"
(HCP) wieder die Ergebnisse des "Euro Health Consumer Index" vorstellen. Ein jährliches Ranking der europäischen Gesundheitssysteme, das auf Resonanz in den Medien trifft.Das Beratungsunternehmen
PatientView führt derzeit im Auftrag von HCP die Befragung zum "Euro Health Consumer Index" durch und hat Repräsentanten von deutschen Selbsthilfe- und Patientenverbänden angeschrieben, um für die Teilnahme zu werben. Übrigens mal wieder in englisch, was die Qualität der Ergebnisse sicher nicht fördert und Indiz für die Ernsthaftigkeit des Interesses an den Bewertungen der Patientenvertreter ist. Dear health campaigner,
For the fourth year running, Health Consumer Powerhouse (HCP) is asking health campaigners across Europe to help it compile the annual EUROHEALTH CONSUMER INDEX. The Index is designed to measure the user-friendliness of national healthcare systems across Europe.
If you would like to contribute your views on the condition of your country’s healthcare system in 2008, you will find a live link below to the survey’s online questionnaire. This year’s questionnaire is short — only ten questions — and should take no more than about 5 (or, at most, 10) minutes of your time to complete. All responses will be anonymous.
To thank you for contributing your opinions to the Index, and to allow you to read the results, PatientView, the survey manager, will send you the weblink to the EuroHealth Consumer Index upon publication in October 2008.
The survey’s closing date is Wednesday October 1st 2008 (but HCP would welcome your opinions before then, in order to draw up some initial trends).

Klingt nach Verbraucherverband. Hinter HCP verbirgt sich jedoch eine EU-Lobbygruppe, Mitglied eines neoliberalen Lobbyisten-Netzwerks, die allesamt marktradikale Positionen vertreten.
Am Ende wird ein Befund vorliegen, der sich nicht von denen des Jahres 2006 und 2007 unterscheidet. Patienten in Deutschland brauchen mehr Informationen über Behandlungen und Arzneimittel. Ganz im Sinn der Pharmaindustrie, die an allen Fronten gegen die Werbebeschränkungen für Medikamente kämpft und im EU-Kommissar Günter Verheugen einen mächtigen
Verbündeten gefunden hat. --
