We suggest that clinical trials sponsored by industry should be clearly labelled as such and sequestered from independent studies in medical journals. Industry sponsored reviews and commentaries, including those sponsored through MECC [medical education and communications companies - "Ghostwriter-Agenturen"] intermediaries, should not be published in peer-reviewed medical literature.
